Myspace Bulletins By Wesley Boynton This is an announcement made possible by use of the emergency Myspace broadcast system. We all know about Myspace Bulletins. messages sent to everyone on your friend list simultaneously. And if you don't repost them to dive further into your network of friends, you're told you'll be killed by a little boy named Jimmy with a chainsaw or some Sh*t. Why don't I care about the messages I see? The ones about people being molested, the ones about people being depressed, doing drugs, cutting themselves, hanging themselves, shooting themselves, girls being forced upon guys, and even, rarely, guys being used and manipulated by girls? Why do people repost those? Why are we flooded with statistics that the Myspace community can't change? Why do people assume that all cliques are bad? Why do people fail to see that groups of friends come together because they're alike? Why do people assume that people can't show their sexuality freely? Why do people assume that people aren't perfectly happy in their cliques? Why do people assume that some people are involved in manic depression through their genes and the world isn't the cause? Why do people assume that the cause of the aforementioned problems is the longing to be accepted by people who aren't your friends? Why don't people look any deeper than the obvious, and minor problems? Why do people feel the need to repost these? I think people should know that not all girls dress slutty because they feel desperate for guys, that not all kids cut themselves because society is mean to them, and not all kids abuse drugs because they have nowhere else to turn, or because they have an unloving family. The answer to all of those problems is God, and forcing him into anyone will only make their problems worse, because he shows people everything they need to see without our interference. Exposing people forcibly to something they dislike will make them only more likely to turn it away. Patriotism isn't the answer either. Nothing is "American" because we're such a mixed culture. That's a beauty and a curse, but we live it every day. So asking me "Is that American? Is that right?!" is not a legitimate question. Asking me about morals is one thing, but synonymizing "American" with "right" is one of the stupidest things anyone can do now days. So please don't repost them. Because if anyone cares, you can send it to them directly. I guarantee they're in the minority. |
